Hey, I'm Kayla—nice to meet you! I'm a graphic designer with a BA in Design from Western Washington University and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Design has always found its way into my passions throughout all phases of my life. In middle school, I wanted to be a fashion designer, then an interior designer. In high school, I took to designing costumes, lights, sounds, and sometimes sets for theater. Finally, in my sophomore year of high school, I discovered graphic design, and it's grown from there.
I like to think of myself as a creative problem solver above all else. I love pretty things, but more than that I love the challenge of thinking outside the box to solve a problem. Beyond my work as a graphic designer, I volunteer with Seattle Design Nerds on unique local art. I also find myself always looking for a new creative challenge, whether that's re-designing my apartment, taking on a new furniture project, or figuring out how to 3D model something for my 3D printer.
Beyond the design-y parts of my life, I'm a dog mom and a former dog foster (which I hope to do more of in the future!), I'm currently trying to turn my apartment into a greenhouse, and I'm rarely seen without an oat milk latte in my hand.
